Kush has acknowledged Ariel’s talent despite their past feud, saying personal disagreements should not prevent him from being truthful about another artist’s musical ability.
During the interview, Kush was asked whether Ariel would make his wider list of leading local male artists. He responded that Ariel probably would, placing him around eighth if he were compiling a top ten.
Kush said the two had previously worked together during Ariel’s earlier period in music and recalled being introduced through Mix Master Tony. He said their musical history existed before the relationship deteriorated.
Reflecting on the feud, Kush admitted that things were said on both sides that probably should not have been said. He maintained that he did not respect everything that happened but said he would not allow that history to make him deny Ariel’s talent.
He added that conversations about moving the local art form forward cannot realistically exclude artists who are contributing to the music.
The podcast hosts expressed hope that the two could eventually put the dispute behind them and possibly work together again. Kush did not announce a collaboration but suggested that maturity should allow people to separate musical respect from personal disagreements.
