PNM supporter Victor Roberts has issued a blunt warning to a faction within the party that he says is attacking leader Penny Beckles, declaring in a new video that the game is over for those who continue to undermine her.
Speaking directly to PNM members in the video, Roberts asked how they were feeling after election results he referenced as 15-15, before correcting himself to say it could be 16-15. He said the outcome reflected a plan by the UNC to destroy the PNM base and every institution the party had built for young people.
But Roberts reserved his sharpest criticism for a small group inside the PNM who he said continue to attack Beckles and the leadership. He claimed there is a financier behind a little social media group spreading foolishness about whether Beckles should remain leader, and warned that he will expose them.
Drink your hand juice and settle your feelings, Roberts said, because Beckles is there. He called on all PNM people to stand together with Beckles to defend the country, adding that there is no room for middle ground anymore and that it is either you are for or you are against.
Roberts also accused the UNC of using apartheid and draconian measures to destroy the PNM base, the PNM institution, and to target the African community, which he said the UNC believes is made up of PNM people. He criticized members of the PNM who have nothing to say about these actions but who fight to destroy Beckles because of their own ambition to lead the party or sit on the executive.
He ended with a direct message to the faction: take my stupid advice or get in line.
