Social media entertainer and comedian Darrel Dookoo has reportedly passed away, according to reports circulating in Trinidad and Tobago.
Dookoo became a familiar figure to many Trinidadians through his outspoken comedic videos and social commentary, building an online presence spanning more than a decade.
Archived online references to his work show Dookoo producing locally focused comedy content as early as 2015, with videos tackling everyday Trinidad and Tobago experiences, social issues and current events.
Dookoo had also previously faced health challenges. In July 2022, he was hospitalised at West Shore Medical Private Hospital in Cocorite.
