Denise Belfon Says Missing Ex-Husband Dexter Joseph Has Been Found Safe
Trinidad and Tobago entertainer Denise “Saucy Wow” Belfon has announced that her ex-husband, Dexter Joseph, has been found, bringing an end to an urgent search that prompted widespread appeals for help from the public.
Belfon shared the update on Friday, September 4, thanking everyone who posted and shared information as her family worked to locate Joseph.
“To everybody that was helpful in posting and putting the great effort to find Dexter, I say thank you on behalf of myself and my family,” Belfon wrote.
The update follows an earlier appeal from the entertainer after Joseph could not be located following a stay at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope.
According to Belfon, Joseph suffers from dementia and had been admitted to the hospital after suffering two seizures. She said their daughter visited him at around 7 a.m. on Thursday and found him disoriented.
The family later became alarmed when their daughter returned after work and Joseph was no longer at the hospital. Belfon had claimed that her daughter was subsequently shown discharge documents despite not giving permission for him to be discharged.
With Joseph now located, Belfon expressed relief through a lengthy prayer of gratitude, describing the fear experienced by the family while he was missing and their joy at having him back.
“Our souls wept with fear, but now it sings with joy, for we hold his hand again in the warmth of home,” she wrote.
She praised God for protecting Joseph during the ordeal and thanked members of the public whose efforts helped spread the family’s appeal.
The circumstances surrounding where Joseph was found and how he returned to his family were not immediately detailed in Belfon’s update.
