Luxembourg’s quest to find its Eurovision 2027 representative has taken a significant step forward, with RTL announcing the 12 artists who have advanced to the second round of the Luxembourg Song Contest. The national broadcaster revealed the names of the candidates who will continue their journey to secure the coveted spot at next year’s European Song Contest.

The 12 artists—Debbie M, Layso Roy, Maya Maunet, Hugo One, Gaïa, Clément Lerat, Patricia Venâncio, Perrine Thomas, Marco Misolić, Jaya, Carmen Luisa, and KIM—were selected following their performances in front of a jury over the weekend. According to RTL, the artists received a phone call on Sunday, inviting them back to RTL City, where they were informed of their advancement. Immediately after the announcement, they participated in their first workshop, marking the beginning of their preparation for the next phase.

The selection process began with 80 artists competing for a place in the national final, as previously reported by EurovisionFun. The next critical stage will take place in November, when the second round of evaluations will determine the finalists for the national final. The 12 artists announced today do not yet represent the final lineup, as further assessments will decide who will ultimately compete on the big stage.

Luxembourg’s Eurovision journey has seen varying degrees of success over the years, with the country making its debut in 1956 and achieving its highest placing—a third position—in 1983 with the song Si la vie est cadeau performed by Corinne Hermès. The national selection process is a key moment for fans and artists alike, offering a glimpse into the country’s musical future on the European stage.

As the competition narrows, attention will now turn to November, when the finalists for Eurovision 2027 will be revealed. Fans are encouraged to follow the developments closely, as the road to representing Luxembourg in Liverpool next year becomes clearer.
