One grandmother proved that Kids Splash wasn’t only for the kids when she jumped straight into the action at Skinner Park in San Fernando.
Video from Kids Splash 2026, held on August 22, captured the elderly woman armed with a colourful water gun and apparently ready for battle as families enjoyed the water-filled event.
While some grandparents may have been content to find a comfortable spot and watch the children have their fun, granny had other plans.
She could be seen leaning against the barrier, water gun in hand, taking part in the excitement as children and adults crowded around her.
The video was shared with a simple message that perhaps explained everything: “I will do anything for my grandchildren.”
Judging by the footage, getting soaked and joining a water fight was apparently included in the job description.
The moment offered a lighthearted glimpse into the lengths grandparents sometimes go to create memories with their grandchildren.
Kids Splash brought families together at Skinner Park for a day of water activities and entertainment, but amid all the excitement, granny managed to create a memorable moment of her own.
She may not have been the youngest person at Kids Splash, but when it came time for the water guns to come out, she certainly wasn’t sitting this one out.
Sometimes taking the grandchildren out means watching them have fun.
Other times, granny has to load up the water gun and join the action herself.
