Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Georgia-Lee Gill departed for Vietnam on Saturday morning, beginning her journey to represent the red, white and black at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival.
Gill will join representatives from around the world for the international competition, which begins on August 9 and culminates with the Miss World final on September 5. The milestone event celebrates 75 years since Miss World was founded in London in 1951.
The 24-year-old Arima native was crowned Miss World Trinidad and Tobago in December 2025 after representing Arima in the national competition. A former Head Girl of St Francois Girls’ College, Gill holds a double major in Biology and Biochemistry from The University of the West Indies, St Augustine. She was also voted Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants.
Beyond the crown, Gill has placed service at the heart of her reign.
Inspired by caring for her grandmother, who lives with Alzheimer’s disease, Gill has championed dementia awareness and support for caregivers through her Beauty With a Purpose project. She also established the PA Foundation, an initiative dedicated to the education, evolution and empowerment of caregivers and young people across Trinidad and Tobago.
Her advocacy has expanded to include cyber safety, with Gill working alongside the Alzheimer’s Association of Trinidad and Tobago to educate young people about protecting elderly and vulnerable relatives from online threats.
Gill has also embraced Trinidad and Tobago’s culture during her reign, including learning to play the steelpan, while describing nature and greenery among her personal interests.
She now carries that combination of intellect, culture and service onto the international stage as Trinidad and Tobago seeks its second Miss World crown, 40 years after Giselle Laronde-West made history in 1986.
