Brittany Clark, 31, was killed by an alligator shortly after being warned against swimming in a river in Florida. The incident highlights the dangers of swimming in areas known to be infested with alligators, reminding the public to heed warnings. Brittany and her boyfriend were on a trail with other friends when they ran into a hiker who cautioned them to stay out of the water. Clark, unfortunately, went for a swim, and that was when the alligator struck. Despite the quick response to the emergency call, Clark was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. Experts like Kevin Brotz stress the importance of adhering to warnings, especially considering there are approximately 1.3 million alligators in Florida.
