Former attorney Taradath Singh, 53, was shot dead outside a school in Charlieville, Chaguanas, on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026.

Singh survived a gun attack at his Cunupia home on September 28, 2026, when a gunman fired several shots from behind bushes as he reversed his white BMW iX into the property.

The assailant, described as wearing blue coveralls and a cap, pointed a firearm toward Singh before fleeing on foot; Singh escaped unharmed.

The fatal shooting occurred near a gym close to the school, with no injuries reported at the scene.

Police have not identified either assailant, and investigations into both incidents remain ongoing.

The killings highlight growing concerns about gun violence in the community.
