The newly opened ANR Robinson International Airport terminal in Tobago welcomed its first passengers on Wednesday, marking a milestone for the island’s aviation infrastructure.

Chief Secretary Farley Augustine and Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Senator Eli Zakour greeted travelers aboard flight BW 1500 as it arrived from Trinidad and Tobago’s capital, offering a warm welcome to the new facility.

Passengers on the departing flight BW 1501 also received a send‑off from the two officials, underscoring the collaborative effort between government and airline operators.

The terminal, completed earlier this year, boasts modern amenities, expanded security checkpoints, and enhanced passenger services designed to accommodate growing tourism demand.

Officials highlighted the importance of the new terminal in boosting regional connectivity and supporting Tobago’s economic growth, while passengers expressed excitement about the upgraded travel experience.
