Police made a shocking discovery in Freeport after finding eight bodies stored in a refrigerated unit at a building that is not authorised to hold human remains.
The bodies include four males and three females. One body was so badly decomposed that the sex could not be determined.
The owner of the building is the CEO of a funeral agency. He claims he has death certificates for the bodies. However, the building is not authorised to store human remains.
The discovery raises questions about how the bodies came to be stored at the unauthorised location. Police have not released further details about the investigation or whether any charges have been filed.
