NESC-TI Takes Technical Training Opportunities to Cedros

Residents of Cedros were given an opportunity to explore technical and vocational education pathways as the NESC Technical Institute joined the National Training Agency’s A Touch of TVET initiative at Cedros Secondary School.

The initiative brought training institutions into the community, allowing residents to learn more about programmes, qualifications and potential career pathways available through Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

NESC-TI representatives were on site to speak directly with residents, answer questions and provide information about the institute’s training opportunities.

The outreach is particularly significant for communities such as Cedros, where distance from major education and training centres can make accessing information and opportunities more challenging.

By taking institutions directly into communities, initiatives such as A Touch of TVET can help prospective students better understand the options available to them before deciding on their next step in education or employment.

NESC-TI thanked residents who visited its booth and interacted with its team during Saturday’s event.

The institute continues to promote technical education as a pathway towards developing practical skills that can lead to employment, entrepreneurship and further training.
