Jr Lee Brings ‘The Comedy Fete’ Home After Two Years Touring Caribbean, Canada
Trinidad and Tobago comedian and content creator Gervail “Jr Lee” Lemo is bringing his signature show, *The Comedy Fete*, back home following two years of performances across Canada and the wider Caribbean.
The Moruga native spent the period between 2024 and 2026 taking his brand of Caribbean humour to audiences in Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton and Winnipeg, as well as Barbados, Grenada and Guyana. According to organisers, the tour included sold-out rooms as Jr Lee developed and tested new material based on his real-life experiences.
His return will mark two years since he last packed out the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) in 2024.
The Trinidad and Tobago homecoming will feature three shows, beginning at NAPA in Port of Spain on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The following night, Sunday, September 27, *The Comedy Fete* heads south to the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) in San Fernando.
Tobago will get its turn on Wednesday, November 4, when the show arrives at the Shaw Park Cultural Complex in Scarborough. The Tobago edition is being staged in partnership with Fog Angels, described as long-time collaborators of Jr Lee.
Organisers say *The Comedy Fete* is designed to be more than a conventional sit-down comedy show, combining stand-up comedy with the atmosphere of a Caribbean lime. The production is expected to feature DJs, hosts and surprise guest acts throughout the night.
Jr Lee said performing internationally demonstrated how strongly Caribbean stories can connect with audiences outside the region, but described returning to Trinidad and Tobago as particularly significant.
He said Trinbagonian audiences do more than simply watch his performances and that the material being brought home has been developed over the past two years.
“We’ve been building this set for two years,” Jr Lee said, adding that bringing it to NAPA, SAPA and Shaw Park represents a major moment for him.
The comedian said audiences can expect “real belly laughs” and several surprises as he brings the road-tested production back to where his journey began.
