Malachi Seales, a student from Queen’s College, has distinguished himself among Guyana’s top performers in the 2026 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations. Seales successfully passed all 21 subjects he attempted, securing 15 Grade Ones, four Grade Twos, and two Grade Threes. His achievement places him in the company of several high-performing students from Queen’s College and across Guyana.
The latest preliminary results highlight another impressive showing for Guyana in the regional exams conducted by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC). However, education officials caution that these results are not final, as candidates may request reviews that could alter the outcomes.
Minister of Education Sonia Parag noted that 264 candidates achieved at least eight Grade Ones, with 78 securing 12 or more. This marks an increase from 2025, where 59 candidates achieved 12 or more Grade Ones. Among the top performers, Nitya Narine from Tagore Memorial Secondary scored 26 Grade Ones, and Anushka Singh from Queen’s College achieved 25 Grade Ones.
While the preliminary results are promising, officials remind students that they remain subject to change pending reviews. Final determinations of Guyana’s top CSEC performers will be made after the completion of this process. Meanwhile, Seales and his peers from Queen’s College continue to celebrate their exceptional accomplishments in the 2026 examinations.
