A video circulating on social media captures two Green Band maxi taxi drivers in a physical altercation after a reckless driving incident along the Southern Main Road in central Trinidad.
The footage shows one maxi repeatedly overtaking the other as both drivers maneuver aggressively, seemingly trying to get ahead. The situation escalates when one maxi abruptly stops in front of the other, bringing both vehicles to a halt in the middle of the roadway.
Both drivers then exit their vehicles and immediately begin exchanging punches. During the brief scuffle, cash is seen flying from one of the men and scattering across the road. A bystander quickly steps in and separates the two drivers before the confrontation escalates further. Both men then return to their respective vehicles and leave the scene.
It remains unclear what sparked the dispute or whether the incident was reported to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. The video has since been widely shared online, with many expressing concern over the dangerous driving and the altercation on a busy public road.
