Minister of Housing Phillip Edward Alexander today blamed the previous administration for what he described as ‘madness’ in housing communities across Trinidad and Tobago. During an on-site visit to Maloney Gardens, Alexander said residents are right to be upset, but the last administration must be held accountable. He pointed to the community of Ridgewood in Volconda, where missing street signs caused ambulances to be unable to find homes, resulting in deaths. ‘People died because ambulances couldn’t find their way to the house,’ Alexander stated. The Minister emphasized that his visits are part of a commitment to fix the longstanding issues, contrasting his approach with that of the previous government.
