The Government of Trinidad and Tobago is seeking to reassure the public that the country is not running out of passport booklets, despite recent concerns over supply levels.
According to information released by the Ministry, 12,000 passport booklets were received in June, with a further 48,000 expected to arrive in September. Officials say these shipments are intended to ensure a consistent supply and support the continued processing of passport applications.
The update comes amid heightened public concern following reports of limited passport booklet availability and questions surrounding the issuance of new passports. The ministry maintains that measures are being taken to manage inventory and minimize disruptions to passport services.
Officials are encouraging members of the public who require passport services to continue using the normal application process while the additional shipments are integrated into the national supply.
