After a lengthy closure for renovations, MacReef beach in Trinidad has officially reopened, much to the delight of local snorkelers. Enhancements include new railings and a thorough clean-up of the beach area, aimed at providing a better experience for visitors. One snorkeler, who found out about the reopening just that morning, took to the waters in the evening to explore the beach’s aquatic life. Although visibility was poor due to wave conditions, they encountered fascinating creatures, including a scrawled cuttlefish and a spotted eagle ray, marking a memorable day in the water. With hopes for continued maintenance of the area’s cleanliness, many locals are excited to return to this beloved snorkeling spot.
