The traditional Trinidad and Tobago card game All Fours is preparing for an international competitive stage, with organisers of the Legacy Cup announcing seven satellite qualifying locations across Trinidad and Tobago, Canada and the United States.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at the House of Angostura during the official launch of the Road to Legacy Cup Satellite Series.

The initiative, organised by HSDC Legends in conjunction with Dr Jack Warner and supported by Angostura White Oak, is designed to provide more opportunities for players to qualify for the million-dollar Legacy Cup championship scheduled for February 12 to 14, 2027.

Seven Locations, Three Countries

During the launch, organisers explained that the satellite system will allow teams to enter smaller, more affordable qualifying competitions, with successful participants earning places in the main tournament.

Four qualifying locations have been established in Trinidad, one in Tobago, one in Canada and one in the United States.

The satellite series is scheduled to begin on November 14, 2026, across the announced locations.

Special satellite qualifying opportunities are also planned for this weekend during an existing All Fours competition.

The organisers said the approach was developed to make the championship more accessible to players who might otherwise be unable to enter the main tournament directly.

Digital Leaderboard and Hall of Fame

Another major announcement was the introduction of a digital competition management system designed to track player performance.

Through a specially developed application, participating tournaments will record results and calculate points earned by individual players.

These statistics will contribute to a national and international leaderboard, creating a record of performances across participating competitions.

Organisers explained that the information will also support the creation of an All Fours Hall of Fame, recognising players who demonstrate outstanding performance over time.

The system represents an effort to bring greater structure, transparency and recognition to a game traditionally played in homes, community spaces and social gatherings.

Jack Warner Calls All Fours a School of Life

Speaking at the launch, Dr Jack Warner described All Fours as a school of life that teaches players important lessons about winning, losing and building relationships.

He emphasised the game’s ability to bring together communities, generations and people from different backgrounds.

Warner also highlighted the growing involvement of women in All Fours and expressed confidence that coordinated efforts could help develop the game into a more widely recognised competitive activity.

Angostura Backs Cultural Preservation

Angostura Executive Manager of Marketing Hazel-Ann Marshall described the company’s partnership as more than a sponsorship arrangement.

She said All Fours remains deeply connected to Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural identity, bringing generations together through conversation, competition and shared experiences.

As co-presenter and official rum partner, Angostura White Oak is supporting the initiative as part of its commitment to community traditions.

The launch also featured a demonstration game, traditional team chants and presentations on the tournament’s development.

Million-Dollar Championship Set for February

The Legacy Cup championship is scheduled for February 12 to 14, 2027, with organisers promoting more than TT$1 million in cash and prizes.

Beyond the financial incentives, organisers hope the satellite competitions, digital ranking system and Hall of Fame will help transform All Fours into a structured competitive activity with greater international participation.

For players in Trinidad and Tobago and the diaspora, the satellite series now provides a pathway from community-level competition to the Legacy Cup’s main championship stage.
