Responding to accusations of political betrayal, Octave declared: “If I sell out, I sell out for that.” He also challenged what he described as racial divisions within political discussions, questioning why Africans who support the United National Congress are sometimes insulted while similar criticism is not directed at Indians who support the People’s National Movement. Octave maintained that citizens should be free to associate with whichever political organisation they believe can help their communities. Addressing speculation about his own position, he said he was serving on a board and advocating for policies that could create employment and tourism opportunities for young people. He rejected suggestions that his relative silence on certain political issues meant he had abandoned his principles in exchange for personal benefits. Octave also claimed that peace initiatives had saved hundreds of lives. That figure was not independently substantiated in the video. His message ended with an appeal for unity, urging citizens and social media commentators to move beyond political attacks and focus on solutions to the country’s problems.
