A violent robbery took a dramatic turn on May 5th, 2026, in the Debe district. As a male victim was conducting sales, he was abruptly accosted. The culprit, a man, snatched a gold bera and a gold hand band from the victim, the total value of which is estimated to be $50,500.

Following the theft, the alleged bandit made a swift escape in a white Toyota Fielder Wagon, driven by a woman. However, their freedom was short-lived as officers from the Debe Highway Patrol swiftly responded to the report. The vehicle was intercepted along the M2 Ring Road, not far from the crime scene.

The suspects are a 28-year-old woman from La Romain and a 31-year-old man from Carenage. Upon searching the suspects, the police were able to recover the stolen jewellery in the possession of the male suspect.

The investigation is still in progress as authorities seek to fully unravel the circumstances surrounding this incident.
