Stuart Young has taken to social media to question why the central block in Port of Spain remains unopened, more than 18 months into the UNC government’s term.
In a Facebook video filmed from the heights of Belmont, Young looked out over Port of Spain, Belmont, and the Gulf while asking what the government is doing for the city and the constituency of Port of Spain, North St. Ann’s West. He then turned to the central block, which he said was supposed to open in July.
“The UNC in power now for 18 months, it was supposed to open in July. Why it ain’t open yet?” Young asked in the video.
The post caption took a sharper tone, referring to “Kamla’s Kakistocracy government” and adding “WE WILL REMEMBER.” The video has been viewed more than 60,00 times, with over 1,300 reactions.
Young did not offer further explanation in the clip for the delay, instead directing his question at the government. The central block is located in Port of Spain, the constituency he referenced in the video.
