Jamaica Kingsmen Robotic Mascot Makes Appearance at Providence for CPL Clash
The Jamaica Kingsmen brought an unusual attraction to the Guyana National Stadium at Providence on Friday, September 4, as the franchise’s robotic mascot made an appearance ahead of its Caribbean Premier League clash against the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
The humanoid robot was seen alongside members of the Kingsmen camp at the venue, drawing attention as the Guyana leg of the 2026 Republic Bank CPL got underway.
The robot is already familiar to some cricket fans after attracting attention during the 2026 Pakistan Super League, where it appeared with the Hyderabad Kingsmen. Its appearances during the tournament generated attention online, adding a technological twist to the traditional use of mascots at sporting events.
The Jamaica Kingsmen are competing in their debut CPL season and arrived at Providence looking to strengthen their position as the tournament moves towards its decisive stages.
Their opponents, the Guyana Amazon Warriors, entered the encounter unbeaten after winning their opening four matches of the competition, setting up an important contest between the two sides.
The fixture also marked the Amazon Warriors’ return home to Providence for the Guyana leg of the tournament.
Against the competitive backdrop, the Kingsmen’s robot provided one of the more unusual sights at the stadium, bringing an attraction previously seen in Pakistan’s premier T20 competition into the Caribbean cricket environment.
