Over the past 24 hours, law enforcement officers in Central Division have conducted several successful operations leading to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of firearms, ammunition, and narcotics. These operations were part of an intelligence-led initiative named Operation RESOLUTE.

The first arrest took place at Orangefield Road, Carapichaima, where officers acting on a tip-off discovered a suspect with a concealed firearm and magazine. The 30-year-old local was promptly detained following the discovery.

In a separate operation, road checks and searches by the Central Division Task Force in areas such as Enterprise, Longdenville, Caroni, and others resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old man found in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Additionally, an intelligence-led operation by the St. Joseph Criminal Investigations Department resulted in the seizure of 22 packets of cannabis weighing approximately 11 kilograms from an apartment in the Chaguanas area. One person was arrested in connection with this find.

These coordinated efforts, led by senior officers including Supt. Gloden, ACP Remy, and others, underscore the ongoing commitment of the police force to combat illegal activities in the region. Investigations into all incidents continue as authorities aim to ensure community safety.
