Trinidad and Tobago gymnast Chane Cumbermack produced a confident performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, highlighted by an outstanding vault and a clean “stuck” landing that he proudly celebrated on social media with the words, “Nothing beats a STICK!!!”
A “stick” is one of the most celebrated moments in gymnastics, referring to a landing executed without any movement of the feet after impact. It demonstrates exceptional precision, balance and control, and is often the finishing touch to a well-executed routine.
Competing against some of the Commonwealth’s top male artistic gymnasts, Cumbermack completed the men’s all-around competition with a total score of 72.450, finishing 13th overall.
