Venezuela’s Acting President Thanks CARICOM States for Emergency Support

In the wake of recent earthquakes, Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodriguez publicly expressed her gratitude for the critical support offered by CARICOM member states. The aid received this Tuesday included essential medical supplies and heavy machinery, intended to bolster the country’s emergency response efforts.

During an inspection of the international humanitarian aid that arrived in Venezuela, Rodriguez extended her thanks to the Governments of Barbados, Bahamas, Grenada, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Saint Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica and Haiti. She articulated her deep gratitude on behalf of the Venezuelan people, underscoring the significance of their timely support.

The relief effort was coordinated by Guyana, demonstrating the collective effort of the Caribbean countries. In addition to the supplies, Haiti sent a contingent of 35 doctors and a field hospital, further strengthening the support system.

Rodriguez also voiced her appreciation to President Putin and his government for their assistance. She emphasized that the ties of friendship, cooperation, and brotherhood between Venezuela and the CARICOM states have always remained strong, a sentiment deeply echoed by the Venezuelan people.

In conclusion, she expressed heartfelt gratitude, while highlighting the enduring commitment and solidarity between Venezuela and the CARICOM states.
