Adventure travel company EverTrek has added Albania to its portfolio with an eight-day itinerary combining hiking, cycling, river rafting and cultural visits, Business News Wales reported on October 28. The addition brings the company\u2019s destination count to 23.<\/p>\n
The trip links visits to Tirana and Kruj\u00eb with activities around P\u00ebrmet and stops along the southern coast. EverTrek describes it as an option for travellers seeking a range of outdoor activities alongside opportunities to explore towns, villages and historic sites.<\/p>\n
The itinerary includes UNESCO-listed Berat, where participants can explore the city\u2019s Ottoman architecture, castle walls and cobbled streets. Around P\u00ebrmet, the programme shifts towards hiking, mountain biking and traditional village trails through rural landscapes.<\/p>\n
Rafting on the Vjosa River forms another part of the trip, followed by time at the natural pools of Benja Thermal Springs. The coastal section includes Sarand\u00eb, the ancient ruins of Butrint and the Blue Eye spring, as well as time on the Albanian Riviera.<\/p>\n
According to the company, participants do not need previous mountain biking or rafting experience. Travellers should, however, have a reasonable level of fitness for the hiking and cycling. EverTrek places the itinerary at the easier end of its adventure range, presenting it as a varied introduction to several activities rather than an endurance-focused trip.<\/p>\n
Chief executive Rhys David said the company chose Albania following market research and customer feedback showing interest in more accessible adventures with a mix of activities. He explained that EverTrek wanted to broaden its offering beyond its roots in high-altitude trekking, combining walking with experiences such as rafting and mountain biking.<\/p>\n
David took part in the first trip, travelling with a group of six. In comments published by Business News Wales, he highlighted the variety of experiences across the eight days and the social connections formed within the group.<\/p>\n
For prospective participants, the defining feature is that combination of activities and destinations within one itinerary.
