The faculty traces its place in the university to the institution’s establishment in 1957, according to its own account.

Its six departments bring together fields ranging from history and geography to language and linguistics, literature, media and communication, archaeology and cultural heritage. That breadth places the study of written expression alongside the investigation of places, material remains and historical records.

The faculty describes its educational mission as preparing teachers, journalists and researchers, including scholars working on archaeology, heritage, language and literature. It offers programmes across undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels, connecting teaching with research in these subjects.

One strand of that scholarly work has a history of its own. The faculty identifies Studime Albanologjike as a scientific journal founded in 1996. It also publishes Studime Gjeografike, a national journal carrying research in geography and related disciplines.

According to the faculty, its staff participate in research projects with foreign colleagues and institutions. Its institutional history offers a quieter perspective on Albanian cultural heritage: alongside the places and objects that survive are the teaching, journals and research through which successive generations investigate them.

[1

post-6634","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
