Albania’s Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha has condemned attacks attributed to Yemen’s Houthi movement following an explosion in Riyadh that reportedly caused deaths and injuries, according to a report published by CNA on October 11.

Hoxha said repeated attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels posed a direct threat to regional stability, endangered civilian lives and undermined efforts to promote peace and security. His response emphasized that attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure could not be justified.

The foreign minister also called for those responsible to be held accountable. In remarks reported by CNA, he expressed condolences to the families of the victims and solidarity with Saudi Arabia’s people and authorities.

The Albanian statement places the incident within a wider security concern involving attacks that officials say threaten civilians and regional stability. However, the available report provides limited information about the explosion itself. It does not specify the number of people killed or injured, the exact location of the blast within Riyadh, the type of target involved or the precise circumstances of the incident.

The report attributes the condemnation to Hoxha but does not include a detailed account of the Saudi authorities’ response or independent verification of responsibility for the explosion. Those details would be necessary to establish the full circumstances and consequences of the incident.

For now, the clearest confirmed element in the supplied reporting is Albania’s diplomatic position: Hoxha condemned the attacks, rejected violence against civilians and civilian infrastructure, and expressed support for Saudi Arabia following the reported casualties. Further official information would help clarify the circumstances of the explosion and any subsequent regional response.
