The courtesy call took place at the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs headquarters on October 6, 2026. The meeting preceded Giorgio\u2019s presentation of credentials to President Christine Carla Kangaloo, ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. During the discussions, officials reflected on the longstanding diplomatic relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and Italy, which was formally established on January 3, 1964. The engagement also provided an opportunity for both sides to identify areas where cooperation and diplomatic engagement can continue to be strengthened.
