Marlon Pereira, 39, of Five Rivers, Arouca, who was last seen on April 15, 2026, has been safely located in Debe by the Registered Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), the team announced. The HSRT, under the leadership of Commander Shamsudeen Ayube, confirmed the find and said information about his safe location was immediately passed on to his family. His family had been extremely concerned about his safety and well-being following his disappearance.<\/p>\n
According to the HSRT, Pereira, who reportedly suffers from health issues, informed the team that he did not wish to return home at this time. The team said it understands that every missing-person case involves real people, families and emotions, and remains committed to helping reunite loved ones whenever possible.<\/p>\n
In a video shared by the HSRT, a rescuer is heard speaking with Pereira on the scene. The rescuer explains that the team received a call through Commander Ayube and found Pereira, who agreed to speak briefly so the team could understand what had happened. When asked his name, Pereira responds, and a rescuer notes he is from Five Rivers, Arouca. The rescuer then asks how he ended up in the area and explains that the HSRT would consult Commander Ayube on the next steps forward.<\/p>\n
