Culture Ministry Details TT$45.5 Million Paid to TUCO, Pan Trinbago and TTCBA The Ministry of Culture and Community Development has disclosed that more than TT$45.5 million has been issued to three of Trinidad and Tobago\u2019s major cultural organisations, while a further TT$24.29 million in outstanding payments is expected to be distributed to Pan Trinbago and the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association on Wednesday. In a statement dated September 22, the Ministry provided a detailed breakdown of funding issued to the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians\u2019 Organisation, Pan Trinbago and the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association from November 2025 through September 2026. According to the Ministry, the combined funding issued to the three organisations amounts to TT$64,514,164.93. TUCO received TT$12,519,295.71 over the period. The payments included administrative and operational expenses, assistance with Carnival expenditure and TT$3,563,530 in prizes for Carnival 2026. Pan Trinbago accounted for the largest share, with the Ministry listing TT$37,612,085.13 in funding. The payments covered administrative and operational support, Panorama expenditure, prize monies, accommodation for Tobago bands, player remittances and other expenses. Among the largest Pan Trinbago payments listed was TT$12,055,000 for outstanding National Panorama 2026 prize monies for junior, medium conventional and large conventional bands. Another TT$2,404,000 was listed for outstanding Panorama appearance fees. The Ministry also reported TT$14,382,784.09 in funding to the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association. This included administrative and operational expenditure and TT$3 million in Junior Parade of the Bands prize money. Two September 21 entries for TTCBA totalled TT$9,832,734.09 for outstanding senior prize allocations and administrative and operational expenses associated with Carnival 2026. The Ministry said Pan Trinbago and TTCBA are expected to receive four cheques on Wednesday, September 23, totalling TT$24,291,734.09. Those payments cover outstanding National Panorama 2026 prize monies and appearance fees for Pan Trinbago, as well as outstanding senior prize allocations and administrative and operational expenses for TTCBA. The Ministry separately disclosed that organisers of the Chutney Soca Monarch 2026 received approximately TT$2.5 million for Carnival 2026. Culture and Community Development Minister Michelle Benjamin acknowledged that there had been public discussion over financial disbursements during the past six months. She said discussions and engagement with stakeholders had continued and that the Ministry worked to have the specified outstanding payments cleared before the end of the 2025\/2026 fiscal year.
