Social media personality Orlando Flame, known for regularly using his online platform to highlight issues and situations affecting others, has found himself speaking publicly about a troubling incident he says happened to him personally. During a live online discussion, Flame alleged that a woman he had been assisting left with $5,000 in cash, his PlayStation 5 Slim and a wallet containing several important personal documents. Flame said he had known the woman for approximately four months after they initially connected through Instagram. According to his account, he allowed her into his room but never gave her permission to remove any of his belongings. He alleged that $5,000 in cash was missing, along with his wallet containing his bank card, identification card, NIS information and the identification card of his deceased mother. It was the loss of his mother’s ID that appeared to affect Flame the most. Speaking emotionally about the situation, he explained that the card was one of the last possessions he had connected to his mother. “The last thing I have with my mother,” Flame said while discussing the missing item. He also alleged that his PS5 Slim had been removed from its mounted position, along with one of his controllers. During the discussion, Flame showed the area where the console had been located and said he had left the space untouched following the incident. Flame said he subsequently made a report to police but expressed frustration over how quickly he felt the matter was being handled. According to Flame, an officer attempted to contact the woman by telephone but received no answer. He said he was later instructed to return to the police station on Tuesday with proof that the PS5 belonged to him. Flame said he contacted the person from whom he purchased the console and obtained a copy of the receipt. However, he claimed he was told that he needed to produce a physical copy. His concern, he said, is that by the time the necessary procedures are completed, his belongings could already be disposed of. Flame also said he was attempting to obtain surveillance footage from a nearby school which he believes could assist in determining what happened. Throughout the discussion, Flame repeatedly stressed that he had initially wanted to keep the situation away from social media and deal with it privately. However, after two days without recovering his belongings, he decided to speak publicly about what he says happened. For Flame, the experience appeared particularly difficult because he said his intention had simply been to help someone. “I work hard for my thing,” he said, adding that the experience had left him questioning whether he should continue helping people in the same way.
