During her address, she endorsed United States President Donald Trump\u2019s proposal to rename artificial intelligence as \u201cSuper Intelligence\u201d (SI), indicating the nation\u2019s readiness to adopt the new terminology.<\/p>\n
AI and global security had been a central theme in Trinidad and Tobago\u2019s campaign for a seat on the Council, and Persad\u2011Bissessar highlighted both the risks and opportunities of emerging technology.<\/p>\n
She warned of cyberattacks, disinformation, deepfakes, autonomous weapons, and threats to critical infrastructure, while also stressing that AI can aid conflict prevention, early warning systems, peacekeeping, and civilian protection.<\/p>\n
