A woman celebrating her 100th birthday has shared what she believes is one of the secrets behind her long and healthy life: green banana.<\/p>\n
The centenarian was speaking during a visit to Cuts By Antonio, where she reflected on reaching the remarkable milestone and offered advice to younger generations.<\/p>\n
When asked about the secret to living a long and healthy life, she said she had generally lived healthily and avoided certain foods before revealing her daily green banana routine.<\/p>\n
She explained that a few years ago she developed a severe bout of diarrhoea. Her daughter, Maxie, suggested that she try green banana.<\/p>\n
The woman said she recovered and has continued eating green banana every day since, usually alongside fish and particularly salmon.<\/p>\n
\u201cGreen banana, that is the secret,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Her comments reflect her personal experience and should not be interpreted as medical evidence that green banana can treat diarrhoea or guarantee longevity.<\/p>\n
But food was only part of the wisdom she shared.<\/p>\n
Asked what lessons she would give someone in their early twenties, the centenarian urged young people not to \u201csell yourself\u201d or become carried away by flattering words. She encouraged them to be themselves and prioritise their education.<\/p>\n
\u201cBe yourself. Go to school,\u201d she advised.<\/p>\n
She also reflected on her earlier life, describing her mother as a very strict woman and remembering someone she called \u201cthe best man in the world\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe times we had together, they were not just good, but you can’t repeat,\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n
