Jadel Receives Second Citation in New York
\nTrinidad and Tobago soca artiste Jadel has received another honour in New York City, earning her second citation as recognition of her work and contribution continues to grow internationally.
\nThe latest citation was presented by New York City Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams and is dated September 3, 2026.
\nAccording to the citation, Jadel was recognised for her \u201cexceptional artistry, dedication, and inspiring contributions to the community at large\u201d on the occasion of Blocko Mania.
\nThe recognition represents another milestone for the soca artiste, who has continued to carry Trinidad and Tobago’s culture and music onto stages outside the country.
\nJadel expressed her appreciation following the recognition, responding simply, \u201cThnk uuuu.\u201d
\nThe latest honour comes as Caribbean artistes continue to command significant attention across New York, particularly during the annual Caribbean carnival season, when soca, calypso and other elements of regional culture take centre stage.
