After a month-long search, Jose Britto, who escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre, has been captured by the National Operations Task Force in Wallerfield. The arrest took place on Saturday, August 22, when officers conducting an exercise along Moonan Road spotted Britto standing by the roadside.<\/p>\n
Recognising him as one of the detainees who fled the facility on July 18, the officers approached Britto, identified themselves, and took him into custody.
