An 18-year-old student and dancer from Gasparillo has died after suddenly becoming seriously ill while spending time at a residence in Ben Lomond Village.<\/p>\n
The deceased has been identified as **Jedda Beharry, 18, of Happy Hill, Gasparillo**, who was a student at SITAL.<\/p>\n
According to police reports, at approximately 10:40 p.m. on August 14, Beharry was at the Ben Lomond residence with her 18-year-old boyfriend when she suddenly began experiencing chest pains and difficulty breathing.<\/p>\n
Her boyfriend attempted to assist her and alerted other family members at the residence, who also tried to render assistance as her condition deteriorated.<\/p>\n
Beharry was subsequently taken by private vehicle to the San Fernando General Hospital, where she was attended to by medical personnel. She was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
Officers attached to the Gasparillo Police Station were notified of the death and have begun investigations into the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s sudden passing.<\/p>\n
At this stage, authorities have not publicly established what caused Beharry to become ill, and the cause of death remains undetermined.<\/p>\n
A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday, August 17, and is expected to assist investigators in determining the cause of her death.<\/p>\n
