Saint Lucia has introduced a new financial assistance programme aimed at helping families meet some of the costs associated with welcoming a newborn.<\/p>\n
Under the Newborn Support Grant, eligible families will receive a one-time payment of EC$1,000, equivalent to approximately US$370, for qualifying newborns.<\/p>\n
The initiative forms part of the Government of Saint Lucia’s wider social support measures and is intended to provide families with additional financial assistance during the early stages of a child’s life.<\/p>\n
The grant can help parents offset expenses associated with caring for a newborn, including basic infant supplies, nutrition and transportation.<\/p>\n
