The operation, which took place on Sunday, 9th August, 2026, spanned four hours from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and focused on the area surrounding the Grande Riviere Public Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>The intensive search led to the discovery of 53 kilograms of cannabis hidden in black plastic bags. Additionally, 20 rounds of 9mm ammunition were found at the scene. The street value of the cannabis was estimated at approximately TT$1.53 million.<\/p>\n<p>The operation was coordinated by senior officers in the region, including Snr. Superintendent Etienne and Superintendent Beharry, with support from other key personnel such as A.S.P. Russell, Insp. (Ag.) Ramdeen, and Insp. (Ag.) Harper. The successful execution was supervised by Sergeant Williams and Corporal (Ag.)
