Investigators suspect that the party’s total wealth may exceed its lawfully acquired wealth. The police are relying on a report from international consultants Berkeley Research Group, which estimated the project cost at approximately $118.4 million. Investigators are questioning how a political party could finance such a large project through traditional fundraising alone. The investigation is also examining potential links between contributions made towards the Balisier House redevelopment and contracts awarded by State agencies.<\/p>\n
