A 25-year-old man from Bamboo Village, La Romaine, is now in police custody after officers discovered a firearm and ammunition in his possession during a late-night operation. The arrest took place around 10 p.m. on April 29, 2026, along Jamadar Street in San Fernando, as disclosed by the officers from the San Fernando Police Station.<\/p>\n
The police officers were in the midst of a warrant operation when they noticed a suspicious man standing near a parked vehicle. Upon noticing the approaching officers, the man allegedly threw a multicoloured side bag into the car. The officers intercepted the man and proceeded to search the bag.<\/p>\n
Inside the bag, they reportedly found a black metal firearm resembling a Beretta, a magazine, and 12 rounds of 9mm-type ammunition. Recognizing the severity of the situation, they immediately arrested the suspect and transported him to the San Fernando Police Station.<\/p>\n
